Educational Trips & Visits

The staff at St Bede’s organise a wide variety of activities aimed at widening students’ academic, social and spiritual experience.

In addition to a plethora of educational trips and visits, students will be given the option to choose from a selection of residential trips. During the autumn term, information will be made available to students and parents in years 7 and 9, allowing them to make an informed decision about which trip they would like to attend.

These residential trips will be able to happen during term time.

All students will therefore be given the opportunity to attend 2 residential trips during their time at St Bede's; 1 trip in either year 7 or 8, and another trip in either year 9 or 10.

Students in year 7 will be asked to select, from a list of available residential trips, a trip that will either take place in year 7 or year 8 according to their preference. They will make their choice at the start of year 7.

Students in year 9 will be asked to select, from a list of (different) available residential trips, a trip that will either take place in year 9 or year 10 according to their preference. They will make their choice at the start of year 9.

Any students in receipt of pupil premium will be supported to enable them to do a trip. Please contact our finance team for more information (finance@stbedes.cambs.sch.uk).

For residential trips, parents/carers are required to make a reasonable contribution to meals and accommodation. For other activities, parents/carers are asked to make voluntary contributions to cover the costs of activities which cannot be met fully from school funds. Students eligible for Pupil Premium funding can receive help with the cost of curriculum-based trips and visits.

Please read our summary terms and conditions for any residential trip, below:
